Driving CEO Alpha:
A Community of Private Company CEOs who are Changing the Face of Health Care

This 2 day workshop, hosted at Vanderbilt University, helps CEOs develop the skills needed to build a team that can scale, adapt, and support their board's investment thesis.

The guiding principle for creating CEO alpha in a PE-backed company is straightforward: The CEO, the leadership team, and key leaders across the organization – even a few layers down from the C-suite – must be able to efficiently implement the investors' value creating thesis.

Needless to say, a lot can go wrong if not managed correctly.

We Help CEOs Deliver Leadership Alpha:

  • Develop an authentic style that resonates.  Glean a deeper understanding of how your core values shape your authentic leadership style — and how it can get others aligned around your new vision. Get honest feedback from peers about how they see you as a leader, versus how you see yourself.

  • Reduce key hiring errors. As you rapidly scale, many prospects will look great on paper. We help you develop expertise to dig beneath the surface to determine if external candidates share your team's core values, fit your culture, can overcome obstacles, and can rapidly scale as leaders.

  • Balance mission, scale, and profitability.  Sometimes these goals will be in conflict. You will practice having tough, transparent conversations, with key constituents like investors, partners, and board members.

  • Drive an ownership mindset. Not only must each executive be held accountable for one or two value drivers, the entire team must gel, despite different ways of working, unique cognitive styles, and idiosyncratic behaviors.

  • Be proactive with executive succession.  One of the board’s top responsibilities is ensuring your company has a pipeline of future leaders who can step into key roles. This is a moving target because the world moves fast. We will help you develop a succession planning process for key, value-delivering roles.

  • Take care of yourself, physically and emotionally.  CEOs at the intersection of private equity and neurodiversity face unique challenges. We help you learn how to proactively manage personal challenges, and learn best practices from other CEOs in this program.

  • Special breakout groups on neurodiversity. We are proud partners with the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation at Vanderbilt University. Our event includes special breakout sessions to help CEOs create a culture that embraces the power of neurodiversity.
