A Personal Note to CEOs and CHROs:
Tens of thousands of emerging leaders in Corporate America now face the profound and often isolating challenge of raising a child with autism.
This unquestionably impacts parents’ focus, resilience, and decision making at work. The problem is accelerating: autism births have risen from 1/1,000 to 1/30 in the United States. Experts predict it will hit 1/15 by 2030.
True North Leaders was created for these overlooked parents — accustomed to keeping their heads down, despite internal tension – here is how it works:

01
Learn from CEOs Who Model Vulnerability. We share private interviews of the country's most respected corporate leaders who are parents of autistic children. Their courage helps rising leaders, in the exact same situation, realize they are not alone.
Recent episode: Chairman Goldman Sachs Private Equity.

02
Participate in Learning Groups. We host professionally moderated group sessions during which your employees can immerse themselves in confidential conversations, with parents who work at different companies, about their autistic children and how it impacts focus and performance at work. These cathartic, psyhologically safe sessions are facilitated by former faculty members from Columbia University and Harvard Business School.

03
Build a Support Network. We help your employees develop a personal board of advisors who can help them navigate unpleasant feelings at work (shame, anxiety, stress) but also learn how this parenting experience can foster resilience and profound joy in totally unexpected ways.
"I did not ask to be in this exclusive club (aka, a community of parents with autistic children), but I am in it, I am proud, I've learned a heck of a lot, and I want to help others." Brian Harper, CEO of 11 North, and former Chairman of the Board, Autism Speaks.

04
Reframe Your Leadership Story. There is a silver lining for parents of autistic children. The experience will clarify deeply held beliefs and help build 'soft skills' like empathy, self-awareness, and resilience. Our coaches work one-on-one with participants to help them reflect and learn from their specific crucible experience, and use it to become more energetic, focused, and authentic leaders at work – with a very clear sense of their 'true north'.

05
Ask the Experts. We ask CEOs and senior executives who they personally trust to help their autistic children, and then invite those same experts — in education, therapy, nutrition, medicine, psychology, parent care, sleep, and physical fitness — to help all of the members in our community.
